* Sridhar Ranganathan, Vice President - Product Management, InMobi

Sridhar heads the Product efforts at InMobi since 2008 and brings with himself extensive experience in high technology product management. He is responsible for the vision, strategy and design of InMobi’s products and also oversees the architecting of the company’s service strategies. Through his business acumen and determination, Sridhar has been steering the company to constantly innovate as a mobile advertising space and knows how to leverage market opportunities in economies good and bad.

Prior to InMobi, Sridhar headed the Local and Maps businesses at Yahoo! India and has successfully launched consumer internet products in India. Sridhar came to Yahoo! from Zoho Corp (previously AdventNet) where he built and managed many products in the network management space.

Armed with a Naval Architecture degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Sridhar started his career in ship management with Essar Shipping before moving onto Brij Datalink, a software services startup. Early in 2001, around the time the internet bubble burst, he joined AdventNet where he plunged headlong into product management. Sridhar holds a management degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Over time he’s learnt and lives by one rule: know why you are doing what you are doing - focus on doing a great job and the rest will automatically follow.


* Muralikrishnan B, Director - Marketing & Product Management, eBay India

Murali is responsible for managing the Buyer Acquisition & Retention programs including Brand building & Promotions as well as the overall onsite User experience and enhancements to the Product platform. Murali was formerly managing Category Management at eBay India.

Murali joined eBay in August 2005 as the Head of Product Management and pioneered many large scale development projects and successfully implemented a scalable hybrid development model that leveraged the global platform with local web services

Murali started his career in the FMCG Industry with Asian Paints and has served in various Product Management and Marketing roles in the Internet Industry since 2000 with Sify, Tata Communications & eBay.

Murali is a Mechanical Engineer from Osmania University, Hyderabad and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. Sports (especially Cricket and Squash) and Photographing Landscapes and Architecture are his key interests.


* Mahesh Narayanan, Country Manager - Business Development, Google India

Mahesh is a Digital Media Evangelist & Aficionado with vast experience across various Internet & Mobile businesses.
He was the founding member of Google India's Direct Sales Operations in 2005 & laid down the architecture for the growth of Google in India. He was awarded the 'Google Hero' Award at the Asia Pacific Sales Conference in Sydney in March 2008 for his outstanding contribution to the organization.

He moved to AdMob in June 2009 to establish the local presence & build the foundation for AdMob's business in India. Post Google’s acquisition of AdMob this year, he moved back as Country Manager, BD for Google India and is currently drives the Mobile business.

Prior to Google, Mahesh has worked with companies such as Times Now, Mediaturf Worldwide, Baazee.com, Bidorbuyindia.com & Rediff.com


* Rishi Khiani, CEO - Times Internet Ltd

Rishi is the CEO of Times Internet Ltd, the parent company of indiatimes.com. Prior to Times Internet, Rishi was COO at Web 18(Network 18). Rishi is a Digital Media Expert having expertise and background in strategic planning, social marketing, new technology and entrepreneurship. Rishi graduated from Babson College, USA.


* Prerana Nayak , Assoc. Director, Rediff.com

Prerana manages several strategic programs in Rediff.com including social media and other platform initiatives. Most recently, she has been involved in Rediff MyPage and Rediff PlayGully. She has over 10 years of experience in product engineering, program management and marketing. She holds a B.E. in Computer Engg. and an executive MBA from S.P.Jain Inst. of Mgmt.

* Ashok Lalla, President - Digital, Euro RSCG

Ashok leads the Digital business of Euro RSCG in India, and focuses on delivering next-gen digital marketing solutions to an array of leading global and Indian brands. He also sits on the Euro RSCG APAC Digital Council.

Ashok loves sharing his insights and perspectives gained through 17 years of client and agency-side experience, and has evangelized the future of digital, marketing and brands at over 30 national and international conferences, via articles and social media, and through guest lectures at leading B-schools.

* Lalit Bhagia, Vice President & Head-Digital (Internet & Mobile), Star TV

Lalit is an Engineer, MBA having specialized in international marketing from IIM Kolkota. With 10+ years experience in global marketing he is a veteran player in this space. Started off as an entrepreneur running his own “dot com,” he has earlier worked with Indiatimes.com, NIIT & with the world’s largest digital marketing agency (Digitas) as the Head( APAC), before taking over as the Head- Digital at Star TV . At Star he is responsible to build & manage a digital business for the network that spans across all new media screens . Having played a successful profit center head role over the last 8 years, he certainly believes digital businesses will only become bigger and bigger as long as you stick to identifying the consumer needs and offer products and services which they would love to ‘engage’ with . With new media screens touching most Indians today (607 mn mobile phones and 80 mn Internet users) , it is how to cater to that need ,will define if he consumes your product or not.

Passionate about marketing and digital culture, he is always looking for big ideas driven by consumer insights. His Inspiration comes from out of the world thinking and is a big time preacher of ROI & marketing measurement.
Lalit has developed various innovative & revolutionary marketing strategies across Asia Pacific for MNCs like HP, ESPN Star Sports, Panduit, Philips, Intel, Microsoft, Cisco, Hitachi etc.

Lalit is a regular speaker at various B-schools & regularly contributes articles in various online publisher portals.


* Sandeep Suvarna, Head of Marketing, Linkedin India

Sandeep Suvarna is the Head of Marketing at LinkedIn India.

Sandeep’s key focus at LinkedIn India is to develop local programs and solutions for generating awareness and increasing the usage of LinkedIn’s solutions, features and products by various stakeholders.

With several years of marketing experience in the internet industry, Sandeep has held leadership positions in his previous assignments at Yahoo! and My Space. His last stint prior to joining LinkedIn was with Networkplay.in as Assistant Vice President - Sales Strategy.

Sandeep is an alumnus of Xavier’s Institute of Communication and has an engineering degree in Information Technology from the Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology

* Ali Hussein, Director - Digital Media, MTV Networks

Ali Hussein is Director – Digital Media Strategy & Marketing of VIACOM 18. Ali is responsible for the for the setup of the Digital Media with Distribution on Internet and Mobile platforms also the development of Interactive Television for the first time on Viacom 18 channels.

A BE graduate from Purdue University, he has attained an 8 year mix of corporate and technical experience. He is known to have an in-depth understanding of consumer behavior and consumption patterns across the 3 screens i.e. mobile, online and cable. Ali is an evangelist of digital media and has developed mass & niche consumer strategies with a direction on commercial opportunity & scale.

Ali has uprooted a mind-shift from the traditional portal strategy into digital shows with 360 degree activation and also developed digital strategies for media brands across age segments (Nickelodeon, MTV & Colors). Ali has been awarded two ABBY Awards for the creative execution for Roadies Season 5.

He has proved a multi-fold increase in his new initiatives in regional marketing strategies for shows like Big Boss & Fear Factor for mass adoption on new media. Ali has mastered digital version of television in shows such as Roadies, Gang Next and his work on MTV application for touch phones with an excellent user experience. Ali’s arena of creative powerhouse can be traced by his 5+years experience in marketing / BizDev in EU, SE Asia, Middle East and N. America markets.

In his past assignments, Ali has played an important role in the construction of the mobile marketing and content distribution business for Hungama Mobile. He has also worked with Hewlitt Packard in research and development

As a person, Ali is a self starter and is able to work in a high-flux environment. He has a passion for innovation and out of box thinking.

* Rajeev Dhal, Country Head, J9 Ventures (Dainik Jagran)

Rajeev Dhal is the Country Head of J9 Ventures, which is headquartered out of New Delhi. J9 Ventures is an enterprise division of Jagran Prakashan Ltd (BSE:JAGP) - owners of World’s largest read daily newspaper Dainik Jagran.

J9 Ventures kick-started in 2007 under the leadership of Rajeev Dhal with a mission of creating a digital entity to be recognized for its consumer centric innovative product offerings. Prior to J9 Ventures Rajeev has worked for 12 years across a mix of Media, Content & Digital VAS companies with projects encompassing Strategic Media Planning, Brand Activation Strategy development and Branded Content/ Participation TV content development. He has spent 10 years with India’s largest communication services conglomerate WPP with assignments across its group companies Ogilvy & Mather, JWT, Maxus & Matrix.

Rajeev’s natural instinct is his entrepreneurial thinking & functioning style and work is the only critical hobby so far for him.

Rajeev graduated from MICA, Ahmedabad in 1995.


* Mohit Gundecha, Head-India Operations & Director-Business Development, Mig33

Mohit is one of the early members of mig33 from its Silicon Valley days. He has played a key role in its growth to 40 million registered users globally and the aggressive growth in the Indian market.

Mohit Created – “Why Mobile? Why India? Why now?” conference in Silicon Valley and co-authored the Stanford University Mobile Industry reference report on “Future of Mobile VAS in India”. Prior to that he co-founded Mobile Momentum with Stanford University Professor Thomas Kosnik to enhance business research on Mobile Industry in Asia.

Mohit has a Masters in Management Sciences from Stanford University and an Engineering degree from College of Engineering Pune.


* Mahesh Murthy, Founder, Pinstorm and Managing Partner, Seedfund

Mahesh Murthy is a serial entrepreneur and has worked with Grey in India and Ogilvy in Hong Kong in the past, where he won notoriety and awards as a creative director on HP, The Economist, Pepsi and MTV. He then moved to a Silicon Valley firm, CKS Partners (later, USWeb/CKS) as Creative Director, GM and Partner – where he helped launch the first commercial version of Yahoo in 1995 and the Earth’s Biggest Bookstore campaign for Amazon.com in 1997.

After a successful NASDAQ IPO, Mahesh moved to head marketing at iCat, an e-commerce firm in Seattle subsequently acquired by Intel. Mahesh then returned to India to run Channel V, a rival to MTV, till its sale to Newscorp in 2000 and then founded Passionfund to invest in startups. Some of his investees include Geodesic (a 300-bagger), Compassbox – acquired by Careerlauncher, Cypherix, Indiaproperties, EBS and Webdunia. While running search marketing campaigns for his favourite charity in 2003, Mahesh believed there was a need for a pay-for-performance digital brand management firm - and set up Pinstorm in Bombay. With over 120 people across 6 offices in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Europe and the US, Pinstorm is today among the world's leading digital marketing firms. Mahesh has a passion for early-stage investing and teamed up with Pravin Gandhi and Bharati Jacob (ex-Infinity) in 2006 to set up Seedfund, today a leading early-stage venture capital fund in India.


* Harish Gandhi, Executive Director, Canaan Partners

Harish is an Executive Director at Canaan Partners, a global VC firm focusing on early stage investments in the technology, telecom and services sector in India. Harish is a recognized thought leader in the international telecommunications sector and has over 15 years of industry and operating experience in both India and the U.S. Prior to joining Canaan, Harish spent 12 years in the U.S. in various engineering, product marketing and business development roles and has spent the past few years guiding the strategic development of next-generation services at some the world's largest mobile companies.

Most recently, Harish headed the VAS Business and the New Product Development team at Bharti Airtel. He grew the VAS business over 50% annually, contributing more than $500 million dollars to Bharti's topline. Harish also served as Vice President of Business Strategy and Planning at Airtel and was responsible for leading the company's 3G effort. Prior to Bharti Airtel, Harish was Director of Marketing and Technology at Nokia. Before relocating to India in 2004, Harish worked at Dilithium Networks and at Bain & Company in USA.

Harish has a BA in technology from IIT Bombay, an MS from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the Wharton Business School.


* Vishal Singhal, CMO, CellStrat

Vishal is a leader and serial entrepreneur in areas of mobile, media and hi-tech industries . He has started and run many startups like etruevalue.com, India Venture Group and most recently CellStrat. Vishal has expertise in planning, sales and marketing of mobile products, services, e-commerce and media consulting. Vishal, in his recent endeavor at CellStrat, specializes in strategy, platforms and applications related to Mobile Media, Mobile Web and Systems Integration.

CellStrat is a management consulting and mobile solutions firm working in industries as diverse as mobile / telecom service provider, media/advertising, retail and manufacturing, high-tech and financial services. Vishal has published white papers on mobile media and mobile advertising in prominent magazines in India and abroad and is a speaker in leading conferences.
